Illien Rosewell was born in Norfolk, Virginia on August 5 1988.  As a child Rosewell was influenced by Early 90’s Hip Hop and dance/Rhythm music. He became involved in spoken words and the church band from the years of199X to 200X, when he attended Calvary Revival Church with his family. In 2003, Rosewell began making beats with Markino (Kino Beats).  He then joined the Norview High school marching band in 2004 to gain knowledge and talents with music.  By the next year, combining his interest in hip hop with his experiences of spoken word gospel, he began rapping in school lunch room, hallways and class rooms.  In 2007 , Rosewell started working in the studio with Quinton Johnson (Harley is Majik) where they formed the Hip Hop group “No Regard”.  2008 marks the year where he left his father’s home and moved in an apartment with Treie and Boogie of DMP. This is where he started making and selling his own CD’s.  By 2009 “No Regard” was signed to Universal Motown, where he acquired a better understanding about the inner process of the music business.  Later in 2010 he made the decision to step away from “No Regard” and pursue his solo career; which led to him gaining significant musical connections and landing a placement with Big Boi “Be Still feat. Janelle Monae”.  Linking up with Nottz in 2012 allowed Rosewell to further increasing his musical abilities as a Hip Hop artist.  He then opened up a studio in Norfolk, Va called Boom Bap Studios.  At the end of 2013 Rosewell moved to Oxnard, Ca where he won first place in the IStandard Producer Showcase in Los Angeles, CA.  For a brief period, he mentored with producer “Boogs the Beast” (affiliated with GOOD Music).  In 2014, Rosewell linked up with Blu and Mainframe of New World Color, as well as working with Shawn Barron of Atlantic Records.  Later in 2014 Illien Rosewell opened up for Dom Kennedy on November 22, 2014 at the Majestic Ventura Theater in Ventura, CA.  While in California, Rosewell obtained a clothing sponsor, Emanuel Fletcher, who is a designer closely associated with Karl Kani, a well-known Hip Hop influenced fashion brand.  Illien Rosewell is now collaborating with artists such as Willie the Kid, Planet Asia, Intalek, DMP and other musicians.
